The stock K04 turbocharger comes from the factory with a rubber diaphragm andspring type design valve which can crack or become brittle from overuse and age,by installed our piston style valve you not only increase the durability but italso has an enlarged recirculation area to accommodate the increase boost/airflow from a tuned engine to minimize boost spike. The CBV is fitted with a “Stock” spring (green), capable forup to 14.5 psi boost. A “Tuned” spring (yellow) is also included for up to 23 psi of boost and is recommended for cars running an ECU upgrade.
If you are looking for maximum performance then a compressor bypass valve orCBV upgrade is essential. This piston design recirculation valve is made ofbillet aluminum and is a direct replacement for the original valve. The stockCBV is designed for stock boost levels so its lifespan and capacity to holdpressure can be significantly shortened once you have increased the boost with aECU upgrade.
