The OEM FMIC is adequate for stock boost levels, however once boost levelsare increased by way of ECU upgrades/chipping the OEM FMIC struggles to keep thecharged air temperatures in check.  Higher charged air temperatures can resultin boost cut and pulling timing, both reducing the amount of power your vehicleproduces. The front mount intercooler kit (FMIC) is a much needed upgrade foranyone looking to maximize performance. Designed as a direct bolt on replacementto the factory intercooler, this FMIC features factory mounting points for themanifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and stainless steel mounting bracketsare also included.
